Celebrating Area Women: Natalie Bertsch and Jewel Kopfmann

Natalie Bertsch and Jewel Kopfmann are co-founders and co-owners of DT-Trak Consulting, Inc., a revenue cycle management firm that partners with various healthcare clinics and hospitals nationwide with offices in Miller and Sioux Falls. After nearly 16 years of working from Alaska to New York, and expanding from 2 to 150+ staff, they have a proven business method assisting in the ever-changing and complex healthcare world. Natalie and Jewel have pioneered DT-Trak’s very own proprietary analytics software, with specific drill-down capabilities for trending and metrics, for identifying gaps in revenue cycles and opportunities for increased efficiencies. Their success comes down to their ability to connect, communicate and deliver according to each client’s needs, earning their trust.

Natalie is married to Brian and has 3 children, holds a degree in Health Information Management from Dakota State University. Natalie provides administrative oversight and business development for DT-Trak.  Natalie is currently serving as Vice President of the Miller School District School Board, is a member of the On-Hand Development Corporation Board, served 3 years on the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank Board of Advisors for Labor & Small Business, is past president of the SDHIMA and was SDHIMA Board Member of the Year in 2014. She is a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

Jewel is married to Bobby and has 3 children. She is a graduate of Dakota State University with a degree in Health Information Management and holds multiple professional credentials including RHIT, CCS and CPC. Jewel is a member of the SDHIMA and AAPC professional organizations. Jewel provides technical and subject matter expertise and oversight in all facets of the revenue cycle for DT-Trak. Other activities include assisting with the family farm and ranching business and is part of Our Saviors Lutheran church.
